K.A.C.T.F.O. BOARD MEETING
LOCAL ISSUES CONFERENCE
GALT HOUSE, LOUISVILLE, KY

AUGUST 17, 2011

President Becky Wilson called the KACTFO Meeting to order at the Galt House in Louisville which was in conjunction with the Governor’s Local Issues Conference.

The treasurer’s report was presented by Treasurer Tammy Robertson. As of July 31, 2011 we had a balance of $40,677.68 in the bank. A motion was made by Kathy Dillow and seconded by Kathy Dryden to accept the treasurer’s report. Motion passed.

Secretary’s report was presented and minutes read by Gale Cowan. A motion was made by Carolyn Ritchie and seconded by Kathy Dryden to accept the secretary’s report and minutes of the April 29, 2011 meeting. Motion passed.

Old Business – The Web page committee reported that 4 bids had been received. They asked that awarding of bids be postponed so they could meet with the companies to make sure bids meet all specifications. Bids will be approved at the KACo conference.

New Business – A committee was formed for Training Scholarship Discussion. The committee consists of Kathy Dillow, Paula Webb, and Paula Guinn.

2011-12 Budget discussion - Paula Webb made the motion to approve the budget with raising the web page expense to $4,000.00. Lissa Gibson seconded the motion. Motion passed.

Approval of expenses for all conferences was next on the agenda. Carolyn Ritchie made the motion to approve paying all expenses. Kathy Dryden seconded the motion. Motion passed.

Special Election – The following people were nominated to fill the vacant board seat.
Lissa Gibson – Union County
Jamie Musgrave – Boone County
Kim Livesay – Kenton County
Becky Carroll – Henderson County

After ballots were counted, Becky Carroll was announced as the new board member and sworn in by Judge Coyle of Woodford County.

With no further business on the agenda to discuss, Tammy Robertson made the motion to adjourn the business meeting. Seconded by Gale Cowan. Motion passed.
